Bring colour to your Mondays

Anyone looking to brush up on their art skills or just looking to make new friends can attend a village’s art club.

The Moulton Chapel Arts and Friendship Group meets every Monday from 9am to noon at the village’s community centre on Woodgate Road.

And they’re always looking for new members.

A spokesman said: “We are a friendly group of amateur artists who enjoy creating art or simply chatting and having a laugh together with a cup of tea and a biscuit.

“There is no formal art tuition but our club members have a wealth of knowledge to offer to help get you started – we all share experience and improve together.

“All abilities are welcome and we use a variety of art mediums including pencil drawing, watercolours, pen and ink, acrylics, pastels and many more.

“Making art has many benefits for your wellbeing – it relieves stress, encourages brain activity and creativity, and provides a sense of achievement. Come and enjoy art with our relaxed and friendly group or, if you are simply feeling isolated or lonely, then come along for a chat and some companionship – we welcome complete beginners!

“Your first meeting will be free but please bring your own art supplies if you can – a pencil and sketch pad is enough to get you started.”

Membership is £12 a month including refreshments. For more information contact Barrie on 01406 380381.
