Spalding Cycling Club’s Tuesday’s ten-mile time trial returned to the Barrier Bank course after last week’s cancellation due to adverse weather conditions.
It was a familiar face at the top with Dom Brand putting in a strong ride with a 21:29.
This week saw a great return to form for Chris Ward coming home second (22:04) ahead of Frazer Wallis, just 14 seconds adrift.
Nigel Swepson put in a solid ride just sneaking under the 23-minute barrier (22:58).
Evgeniya Brand again took top honours in the women’s category with a 25:23 which was enough for 11th overall on the night.
Just behind her there was a nice little battle for fastest road bike.
Victory went to Tom Webster 29:47, followed closely by Chris Peel on his vintage race bike (30:26) and Simon Wright, returning to the time trial scene, rounded out the road bike podium in third (30:51).
