Beale blitz steers ten-man Moulton Harrox to dominant win over Woodhall Spa

Red-hot Moulton Harrox continued their superb form with a brutal domination of Woodhall Spa 2nd on Saturday.

Amazingly, Harrox bossed the South Lincs and Border League Premier Division clash despite only having ten men at Jubilee Park due to a drop out.

Having been put into bat, Moulton lost Jack Cusack for a duck second ball. But captain Chris Beale took the attack to Spa with a wide array of flourishing drives.
Beale bought up his 50 in no time, while Matthew Barnett played his usual role of grinding down the opposition.

The skipper was eventually bowled for 62 with the score on 125-1, but Barnett remained – passing 50 in the 32nd over before being bowled for 56.
A vital quick-fire 22 from Rob Sexton in the closing stages left the Harrox score on a very defendable 187-8.

Hosts Woodhall got off to the worst possible start in their innings, with the top five all getting out before the score was on 50.
Opening Harrox bowlers Henry Lavery (3-26) and Matthew Barnett (2-7) produced terrific spells to set up the victory, before spinners Maxwell Cusack and Jack Barnett came into the attack.
Both bowled tight spells with Cusack taking 5-17 off his seven overs.

This victory continues to show Harrox’s new found maturity and destructiveness and provides the side with a significant amount of confidence before taking on Sleaford 2nd at Broad Lane this Saturday (1.30pm).

They go into that game in fifth place, which makes them the top ranked South Holland side in the South Lincs and Border League.
However, they are 44 points behind fourth-placed Lindum 2nd.
