Long Sutton is losing its branch of Barclays Bank as “only 150” customers use it regularly.
The announcement about the closure was made this week and means customers will have to travel to Spalding, Wisbech or King’s Lynn from August 10.
A spokesman for the bank said there would be no redundancies as a result of the closure, with staff transferring to other branches.
“Only 150 customers use the Long Sutton branch exclusively for their banking,” she said.
“Our records show a low, and falling level of transactions at the branch with a 21 per cent fall in the last 24 months.
More than 68 per cent of the customers of the branch are already using online, mobile or telephone banking,” she added.
Transactions usually carried out at the counter, including withdrawals and depositing cash or cheques, can be done at the Post Office, at West Street.
“The way customers undertake their banking is changing as people increasingly use online, telephone and mobile devices,” said Terry Staff, Community Banking Director for Cambridgeshire.
“We do not take the decision to close any branch lightly,” he added.
The Long Sutton branch is currently open on Monday, Tuesday and Friday from 9.30am to 3.30pm.
The move will leave just one bank in the town, the TSB at West Street.
The town’s NatWest branch closed in December 2015.
“We urge any customer who is concerned to contact us so we can discuss alternative options,” said Mr Staff.
