Banned motorist three times drink-drive limit escapes immediate jail term

A banned motorist caught at the wheel while three times the drink-drive limit has escaped an immediate jail sentence.

Arturs Eversons (31), of Walnut View, pleaded guilty to driving in Albert Street, Spalding on May 13 with 110 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35.

Appearing before magistrates in Lincoln on June 1, Eversons was given a 20-week prison sentence, suspended for two years. He was also disqualified from driving for 52 months and ordered to pay £115 victim services surcharge and £85 costs.

Eversons also pleaded guilty to driving a Honda Civic on May 13 while disqualified. He was sentenced to 20 weeks in jail, suspended for two years, to run concurrently.
