Arty franchise paints a better picture of working hours for Sarah

When Sarah Ekins’ daughter started school last month, mum had already set the wheels in motion to have more flexible working hours.

Sarah, who has had 15 years of experience of working as a teacher, made the decision to leave her job last December and take up something new.
She has been running her Creation Station franchise since February and has been busy with sessions for babies, toddlers and pre-school children along with activities for families in the summer holidays.

Creation StationSarah runs regular Creation Station sessions, children’s Arty Parties and after school Create Clubs in Spalding, Bourne and Holbeach.

She said: “The Creation Station is all about inspiring children’s imaginations through discovery, exploration and play and best of all for mum, she doesn’t have to worry about the mess!”

The baby, toddler and pre-school classes all start with a time of discovery with the magic ideas box or baby bag. This is followed by exploration with paint and different painting materials.
The session is rounded off by making something with the materials explored.

Sarah also runs Arty Parties for children up to the age of 11. Activities include decorating wooden photo frames, painting canvases, beading and sculpting with clay.
Sessions are all based on the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum and are great for children’s development. They are also good fun for parents to do with their children.

Sarah runs sessions on Tuesdays at The Umbrella, Westlode Street, Spalding, and on Fridays at The South Holland Centre.
