Appeal after forged notes used in Holbeach

Lincolnshire Police has launched an appeal after fake £50 notes were used in Holbeach.

CCTV images of  men who the police would like to speak to have been released following the incident at the Co-Op in Fleet Road on February 27.

At around 8pm on that evening an attempt was made to purchase goods using the forged notes.

A statement released by Lincolnshire Police, said: “Officers wish to identify these three men to help them with their enquiries after fake £50 notes were handed over to staff working at the CO-OP store on Fleet Street, Holbeach.

“The incident took place on 27 February, with attempts being made to pay for a selection of items using the fake notes at 8pm.

“We would like to hear from you if you have any information that could assist the enquiry, or know who the men in the picture are.”

Anyone with any information is asked to contact the police on one of the following options.
