All Holbeach schools closed after hoax emails

All schools in Holbeach are closed this morning after what turned out to be hoax emails.

Holbeach Academy Primary, University Academy Holbeach (UAH) and William Stukeley School are all among those closed.

Lincolnshire Police have said it was following hoax emails.

A spokesman said: “Various schools this morning in Holbeach have received suspicious emails. We have assessed these and quickly established these to be a hoax.

“There is no credible risk linked to these incidents.

“We will continue to assess any further reports that come in, and we are working closely with the schools involved to provide reassurance.”

UAH posted on social media shortly after 8am that it was to be closed today .

A statement on the UAH website states: “We are closed today, if your child has already arrived arrangements will be made to get them home. Many thanks UAH.”

One member of the public has contacted The Voice to say armed police are on site at Holbeach Academy.

On January 6, lockdown measures were put in place at Spalding schools following what proved to be a hoax call.
