Sessions encouraging people to get active are back this summer.
The first Activate was held at Weston Playing Field last Wednesday and it proved a success.
Alongside the gymnastics, wall climbing and numerous sports and games, there was also the chance to get creative and take a peek at nature.
Alison White, of the South Holland District Council Communities Team, said: “It was really good and well attended.
“It was good to see so many on Weston Playing Fields, which is a bit of a hidden gem.
“We look forward to our other events this summer where we’ll be encouraging even more people to get out and try new things.”
Two further Activate sessions will be held elsewhere in district.
These are at Sutton Bridge Memorial Park Playing Field on Wednesday, August 16 (11am–3pm) and Gosberton House Academy School Field on Wednesday, August 23 (11am–3pm).
Also Give It A Go is back again for another year, returning on Sunday, August 13 at the Sir Halley Stewart Playing Field, Spalding (11am-3pm).
A Summer Fun Digital Brochure has also been produced, which can found on the council’s website, with a variety of events and activities happening across the district over the holidays, including gymnastic sessions, art workshops, crash course swimming lessons, bug hunting, dance parties and much more.
