Act II deliver a legendary tale

As the nights draw in, and darkness begins to blanket our land, Act II Theatre Company’s music theatre group are ready to tell you a timeless ghost story from rural America.

The Legend Of Sleepy Hollow is a new musical based on the short story by Washington Irving (famously turned into a film by Tim Burton) and is set to provide an atmospheric start to October.

Featuring a large cast of local young people, plus a live orchestra, the story follows forward-thinking sceptic, Ichabod Crane and his run-ins with the God-loving, ghost-fearing inhabitants of Sleepy Hollow, as they lie in wait of the return of the Headless Horseman.

Atmospheric, emotional and dryly funny, Act II brings this macabre musical to the South Holland Cent from October 1 to 4 at 7.30pm.

In addition, there is a relaxed performance at 2.30pm on Saturday, October 4.

The junior cast performs on October 1 and 3 and the senior cast on October 2 and 4.

Tickets are available from the South Holland Centre at www.southhollandcentre.co.uk/whats-on/view/the-legend-of-sleepy-hollow-act-ii-theatre-company
