A decade of classic cars in Spalding

Spalding Classic Car Club members have celebrated the club’s tenth birthday with a drive and a meal.

The group’s birthday outing started at Spalding Market Place and a rural drive led them to the Wishing Well at Dyke for a celebratory meal.

A spokesman for the club said the event “attracted an eclectic mix of over 30 classic cars, including a 1927 Flat Nose Morris, E-Type Jaguar, various MG Bs and TDs, a Triumph Stag and a BMW 635 and participants enjoyed a sunlit meander around the lanes”.

Club creator and chairman Adrian Cunnington said it has “gone from strength to strength” and currently has almost 200 members with a variety of vehicles.

Club activities include visits, shows, talks, evening drives and social events.

The club’s biggest event of the year is the annual run, which this year takes place on Sunday, June 10.

New members are welcome, membership details can be found at www.seeccc.co.uk
