Springfields wlll be packed out with movie stars, cosplay fantatics, props and stalls at the end of the month for the next edition of Geekmania.
The sci-fi and fantasy convention will welcome stars from the likes of Harry Potter, Star Wars and Torchwood, as well as acclaimed authors and artists on Sunday, February 23.
A visual spectacle, cosplayers dressed as their favourite characters will be in attendance. A junior cosplay competition takes place at 1pm and the teen/adult competition starts at 3pm.
The event offers the chance to meet Harry Potter’s Jeff Rawle, Gareth David-Lloyd from Torchwood and ‘Britain’s smallest man’ Michael Henbury, from Star Wars and Labyrinth.
Guest authors include Sam Stone (Kat Lightfoot Mysteries) and David J Howe (Doctor Who), with guest artist Grant Perkins (WWE Kids / 2000AD).
The family-friendly event will also welcome traders from around the country, and our very own Strange Apparitions (Weston) will have a stall, where they’ll debut a new line of merchandise.
Movie props on display include items from Jaws, Gremlins, a TARDIS, a Star Wars speeder bike and more.
Doors open at 10am for ticket holders and 11.30am for door sales, ending at 4pm.

Advance tickets cost £4 (plus 85p booking fee), under fives get in for free.
Tickets on the door cost £7 general entry, £5 under-12s, (under fives free).
