Queen’s Award for Leanne

A Spalding Girls Brigade star has been presented with a Queen’s Award.

On Sunday, at the South Lincs Girls Brigade Christmas Celebration, 25-year-old Leanne Peacock’s efforts were rewarded with the prestigious accolade, presented to her by District Commissioner

The Queen’s Award is the highest award within the Girls Brigade organisation, with only around 25 girls across the country achieving this each year.

Julie said: “It has taken Leanne five years of continual work to gain this award, which comprises of exams on Queen and Parliament, initiative tests, charity work, leadership responsibilities, a residential weekend at GB Central Office in the Hope Valley and setting a personal challenge to achieve.”
