Pensioner jailed in charges over girl (9)

A pensioner has been jailed for four years over sexual offence charges involving a nine-year-old child.

Melvyn John Brannan (pictured), of Glen Avenue Pinchbeck, was sentenced by Lincoln Crown Court on November 14.

The 65-year-old was given four years for causing a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity and two years to run concurrent for engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child.

They relate to incidents that took place in Spalding in August of this year.

He’d also been ordered to sign the Sex Offenders register for life and was issued with a sexual harm prevention order.
