Sandra’s memory walk for mum

A registered blind Spalding woman has organised a fundraiser memory walk for the Alzheimer’s Society following her mother’s diagnosis with the condition.

Sandra Hudson has set up her first fundraising venture, which takes place on Thursday, September 12 at 11am at Springfields Outlet and Festival Gardens.

Mrs Hudson said the charity has already been very supportive.

Everyone is welcome on the walk, which is set to finish at around noon.

“Some of the people who are walking with me are also sight impaired, there will be some sighted helpers and hopefully we can raise money for the Alzheimer’s society as well as having a lovely day,” Sandra said.

“Hopefully weather permitting the walk will last one hour and we will be meeting on the gardens in a gazebo where once the walk is finished tea, coffee and cakes will be available for a donation to Alzheimer’s Society.”
