Seven bowlers from the Spalding and District League were in action in the county finals and semi-finals.
And a number will go on to represent Lincolnshire in the national finals next month after landing titles.
Dannielle Wild had already earned the Val Baker Cup, under 25 singles competition but there was plenty more at stake for the competitors at Boultham Park in Lincoln.
On top of their three bowl triumphs (see back page), Moulton Harrox Bowls Club had Julie Hicks, Marion Perkins, Christine Jackson and Samantha Richardson all competing in the four team competitions.
Hicks and Perkins were up first in the two bowl pairs bowling 21 ends, against Kirsty Cox and Caroline Cullum of Cleethorpes who certainly showed the Moulton pair how to play bowls, beating them 21–9.
Next up were Hicks and Jackson in the over 60s, two bowl pairs, 21 ends, against Chris Barber and Maureen Wilson from Cherry Willingham.
It proved another tough game with the Moulton pair winning just, 16-15.
The final game of the semi-finals saw Hicks, Perkins and Richardson in the two bowl rinks 21 ends against Jenna Earl, Jean Brown and Chris Hempsall (North Hykeham).
The Moulton trio were behind all through the game until they won the last four ends to go through to the final 21-20.
Hicks and Jackson then had to play Olive Wells and Mary Johnson of Horncastle in the two bowl over 60s pairs on a tricky one-handed rink.
Both teams had to work hard with Hicks and Jackson finally winning 20-18 to pick up the Howesman Trophy.
Hicks, Perkins and Richardson played Wells, Johnson and Patricia Scholey in the final of the two bowl rinks against Horncastle over 21 ends.
Richardson, with fresh feet and hands, refused to let the Horncastle trio get to grips with this game, never letting them get in front and helped
Hicks and Perkins pick up another County title 21-11 and the Bonner Cup.
Wild, Sandra Hammond, Perkins, Jackson, Richardson and Hicks will now all go on to represent Lincolnshire in the National Finals.
Tracy Philpott from Spalding Town Bowls Club competed in the 2 Bowl singles competition against Jenna Earl from North Hykham and she was 18–11 ahead after 22 ends seemingly on her way to the finals.
But Earl had different ideas fighting her way back to within a shot.
Philpott stepped up a gear and finally won 21-19.
The final was always going to be a tough game against reigning champion Kirsty Cox of Cleethorpes.
Philpott was slow to find the pace and green at the start, letting Earl get ahead 7-1, however, she fought back and only lost out by four shots 21–17.
Sandra Hammond, from Goodfellowship (Fosdyke) Bowls club played in two semi-final competitions,the four bowl singles and the two bowl Champion of Champion singles. Hammond was ahead for most of the time in the champion of champions but lost out to Maureen Wilson of Cherry Willingham by a shot, 21-20 on the 30th end.
Her 4 Bowls singles game was equally as close and she finally beat Ann Garnham of Eslaforde 21–20.
In the final against Sue Cooper from The Shires Hammond picked up a couple of vital three and four shots winning 22–15 and received the Ethel Grattan trophy.
The National Finals are at Skegness on August 19.
