New Lion head is here to serve

The new president of charitable organisation Spalding Lions has seized the chance to explain the ethos of the club.

New President Lion Stuart East has been handed the Chain of Office by former president Terry Patey.

Mr East explained: “As president of Spalding Lions, and with the help of my fellow club members, I would like to raise our awareness within the area as we are often asked what or who are Lions.

“Lions are an International volunteer service organisation with clubs all over the world, which have been helping their local communities for over 100 years.

“Spalding Lions have been active now for over 48 years serving the people of Spalding and surrounding villages.

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those that sponsor and donate, without that we could not do the work we do.”
