Show off your garden and win

The Holbeach Front Garden competition is back, with prizes on offer to the green-fingered cultivators who take the top three spots.

Whether your blooming garden is your pride and joy or you’re looking for a reason to get stuck into some landscaping, the Holbeach Front Garden competition is the perfect reason to share your time and effort.

Organised by Coun Graham Rudkin, who also works with Holbeach In Bloom, the competition offers prizes of £50 for first place, £30 for second and £20 for third.

Now summer is in full swing, gardens will be looking great, along with the rest of the town, thanks to Holbeach in Bloom’s efforts.

Coun Rudkin took a minute from his watering schedule to say: “We try to brighten up the town wherever we can. It brings in visitors, if you’ve got a nice looking town it really helps.

“The town’s looking really nice at the minute,” he added.

It’s easy to get your efforts recognised. Send over a photograph of your front garden, along with your, name address and phone number.

The competition will be open for five weeks, after which the judges will tour the town and decide the winners.

Feel free to send over any additional information about your garden too, as we’ll be running featured gardens in the next few issues.

To email your entry, please send your details and photograph(s) to [email protected] with the title Garden Competition.

To submit your entry by post, send your details to Garden Competition, Spalding Voice, 2 Goodison Road, Lincs Gateway Business Park, Spalding, Lincs, PE12 6FY.

We look forward to seeing all the bright, colourful and well-crafted entries.
