Holbeach A’s lead at the top of the Spalding and District Billiards League has been cut to 5.5 points after a 5-2 loss against friendly foes Holbeach B on Monday night.
The win sees Holbeach B move into a position of power, given that they have a game in hand on the leaders.
Elsewhere, ace cueman Rob Childs once again made the highest break of the week.
The O250 handicapper reeled off scores of 71, 64, 62 and 44 in Crowland B’s 7-0 success at Pyramid B.
Also impressing was Mick Cooper (O190).
He pocketed breaks of 40, 39 and 38 as Long Sutton saw off visitors Gosberton A 5-2.
Another side on fine form were Donington, who handed hosts Consti A a 7-0 reverse. Nigel Brasier (R90) top scored with a 23 break in that one.
The score was also 7-0 as Gosberton B whitewashed Consti B.
Mick Johnson (O180) was unlucky to be on the losing side after a 33 break, while opponent Shane White (O20) managed a 31 break.
