Donation in memory of Eric

A mobile cancer treatment unit has received a cash boost thanks to a family of fundraisers who give in memory of their beloved father and husband.

Spalding couple Diane and Ian Tilley held a coffee morning to raise money for cancer care recently.

It was backed by Diane’s twin sister, Elaine, raising £465 by hosting craft days at her home.

It meant the family was able to give a total of £1,073.50 to the Hope For Tomorrow care unit at Boston Pilgrim Hospital.

The mobile unit is used for chemotherapy and cancer care and helps reduce unnecessary travel for patients who need the services it offers.

Ian Tilley said: “We wanted to help a cancer related charity in memory of our dear dad and husband who passed away in 2011, Mr Eric Loveridge.

“We would like to say a big thank you to all who helped us achieve this amount.”

Mr Tilley described the staff as “lovely”.
