Tydd Gote Angling Club trio stay in the hunt for Summer Points League glory

It’s tight at the top of the Tydd Gote Angling Club’s Summer Points League with only a dozen or so points separating the top three anglers – with just six matches left it’s all to play.

Out in front, with 113 points, is the prolific Andrew Kilby with the chasing pack led by relative newcomer Steve Borrett on 101 and Archie Greenwood on 99.

Sunday’s match on the North Level was a roach bonanza, at least for those pegged in the 20s with Martin Roper putting an impressive 15lb 5oz of redfins on the scales.

Kilby found a couple of good skimmers to go with his roach for a 14lb 13oz return, with Mick Asker in third on 13lb 10oz.

Wednesday result: Main Road – 1st Archie Greenwood 24lb 11oz 2. Dave Simmonds 15lb 7oz 3. Pete Emery 14lb 7oz
