Charity the big winner at sixth annual Andrew Grantham memorial match

An impressive £351 was raised for charity at the sixth annual Andrew Grantham Memorial Fishing Match.

The event, held at Lake Ross, raises much needed awareness and the funds for the Lincolnshire branch of Motor Neurone Disease Association.

In total there were 16 fishermen who, like Andrew, all belonged to the British Sugar Club.

The club is no longer active, but they all get together for this day.

Barry Nicholas was the winner of the event on the day, with Colin Fisher second and Ian Jenkins third.

All money was raised from peg fees donated by the new owners of Lake Ross, plus a raffle and donations.
