Corrie star opens Adventure Land

The opening of Spalding’s newest attraction was an event to remember for one South Holland girl.

Evie Ireland, a pupil at Weston School, won a competition to design a flag for the new attraction Adevnture Land at Springfields Outlet. Her flag will sit atop the JCB Young Drivers Zone which is part of the new development.

Evie joined Coronation Street’s Maria Connor, actress Samia Lonchambon (also known as Samia Ghadi), to cut the ribbon at the official opening last weekend.

Aside from the JCB zone, visitors can also enjoy a tree-top village and a man-made beach complete with rock pool in an all-weather area.

There are railway rides, a nine hole Dino Golf with dinosaurs in attendance.

There is also a new diner and the team behind it hope it will boost visitor numbers to the area.

“It will bring a lot of extra visitors to Spalding and will benefit Spalding as a town,” said Ian Sanderson, director of SLR Outlets, which owns Springfields.

Adventure Land is open to 6pm each day with entry opening at 9.30am. Entry fees range from £3 to an all-inclusive £7.95.
