South Lincs’ popular Tulip Open serves up plenty of sensational swimming

Some 42 competitors contested more than 210 races as South Lincs Competitive Swimming Club hosted the 34th Tulip Open meet.

The Castle Sports Complex’s pool witnessed tumbling personal best (PB) times, many county qualifying times and medals galore.

There was top action involving both the boys and girls, plus the exciting ‘skins’ finals – proving that the Spalding-based club really does have plenty of talent to shout about.

In the absence of South Lincs’ head coach Callum Lawson, Heidi Skells and a fabulous team of officials, team managers, caterers, photographers and parents all worked tirelessly to make this a memorable event once again this year.

A SLCSC statement said: “Our sincere thanks go to all who visited, to our fantastic swimmers for all their achievements and we look forward to 2019.”
