Winsover Road in Spalding has re-opened to traffic after being closed for emergency repairs by Anglian Water.
Following a leaking main reported on Monday the road has been closed since Tuesday causing traffic chaos throughout the town.
The traffic issues were exacerbated by gas repair works being carried out by Cadent on Park Road and Pinchbeck Road. At the time it was shut, Winsover Road was part of the signposted diversion for the closure of Park Road.
After anti-skid surfacing was completed today (Thursday, December 21) the road was re-opened just before 5pm.
A spokesperson for Anglian Water, said: “We are sorry for the disruption caused by the repair work carried out on Winsover Road.”
