Hayes formally selected as Tory candidate for General Election

South Holland and The Deepings Conservative Association has unanimously approved sitting MP John Hayes as its candidate for the General Election.

Hayes has been the constituency MP since 1997.

The association said: “John has served our constituency and the Conservative cause here with distinction over the last 20 years. As is widely acknowledged by local people of all views, he continuously works tirelessly to ensure a strong voice is heard at Westminster for South Holland and the Deepings, and takes up thousands of individual cases and countless local good causes every year.”

Association chairman Paul Redgate said: “I’m delighted to be able to confirm the selection of John Hayes.
“We are proud to support John at this General Election as our candidate and are determined that he be re-elected for a sixth term to continue to serve all the people of South Holland and the Deepings.”
