Holbeach beerfest’s £7,365 profit is handed out

Holbeach Beer and Music Festival has donated £7,365.20 profits to local charities and good causes.

The second running of the August event was another huge hit with the public.

Organiser Sean Taylor thanked Holbeach district councillors Francis Biggadike, Tracey Carter and Paul Foyster and South Holland District Council deputy leader Nick Worth for their support.

He added: “We had a bigger attendance this year and I appreciate all the positive feedback, letters of support, emails and messages encouraging The Music and Beer Festival to become an annual event in our town because it definitely brings the community together in a positive way.

“The event takes one year to plan and organise with lots of meetings, booking bands, organising the catering, toilets, lighting, crowd barriers, stage, PA sound engineers, security, marquees, health and safety, advertising, negotiating the venue, first aid, other infrastructure, etc, and the cost to put all this together was £31,584.30 this year.”

The Friends of William Stukeley School, Holbeach In Bloom and Holbeach Bank football pavilion were three of the beneficiaries.
