Romany museum gives a glimpse of gypsy life

You don’t need to go far to find a fun, interesting and educational way to spend a few hours this Easter holidays.

The Gordon Boswell Romany Museum is a gem hidden right here in South Holland – introducing visitors to a glimpse of a bygone age and the Romany lifestyle and traditions.
At the museum you can see a collection of Romany horse-drawn Vardos (caravans), carts and harnesses, as well as the largest collection of Romany photographs and sketches from the past 150 years.
There is also a fortune telling tent and a collection of cooking utensils used on the open fire.
The museum is accessible to the disabled and has ample free parking and coaches are welcome.
Groups can take advantage of a talk and slideshow on the gypsy way of life, as well as the chance to ask questions and visit the stables to see the horse.
A range of souvenirs are available from the small gift shop.
The museum is open from late March to October. For more information call 01775 710599 or go to www.boswell-romany-museum.com
