Following your article “Swimmers claim water at Spalding is too cool” (September 17).
Yes, I find the water too cold far too often in the main pool. Whether the water in the learner pool is at the right temperature or not, I find it is too cold for little ones.
I question who decides what the temperature should be. But, overwhelmingly, the common complaint amongst the swimmers (I go every morning so am a “regular”) is the state of the changing rooms. They are filthy and are not cleaned properly.
I have written on several occasions to 1Life and put in complaints to no avail.
Perhaps following your article they will be embarrassed enough to address the problem, let’s hope so!
