Holbeach gears up for beer and music festival

The first Holbeach Music and Beer Festival takes place this weekend.

The festival takes place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the new Holbeach United Community Sports Academy (for which the event will raise money).

It will be a fun weekend for all the family with attractions including Roger Tuby’s funfair, an inflatable slide, hot food, ice creams, crazy golf, 36 real ales and ciders and 17 live bands performing.

Weekend wristbands cost £5 (under 4s go free) and can be bought in advance at www.holbeachmusicandbeerfestival.co.uk/tickets.

The event runs from 6.30pm-11pm on Friday, 12pm-11pm on Saturday and 12pm-10.30pm on Sunday.

The confirmed line up is:

Friday: 6.30pm-7.30pm Mark Allington – local vocalist covering all genres from indie to country and folk; 8pm-9pm Bad to the Bone – local five-piece classic rock and blues band; 9.30pm-10.45pm Blondied – UK’s premier Blondie tribute act.

Saturday: 12.30pm-1.30pm Hob & The Goblin – local duo covering artists including Led Zeppelin, Queen and Elvis Presley; 2pm-3pm RetrospeKt – 60s and 70s music; 3.30pm-4.30pm Sound-Station – blues, rock, country rock, etc; 5pm-5.30pm Kingdom Keys – six-piece alternative rock band; 6pm-7pm FAZED – four-piece band from Holbeach covering popular music; 7.30pm-8.30pm Crossing The Tracks – fusion of folk, rock, country and blues; 9.15pm-10.45pm The High Rollers – party band playing songs from the 60s to today.

Sunday: 12.30pm-1.30pm Amy Palmer – acoustic act; 2pm-2.45pm Just-Josh – covering a range of genres from swing to the charts; 3.15pm-4.15pm The Sound Injectors – five-piece band performing ska, reggae, pop, blues and disco; 4.45pm-5.45pm The B Sides – rock n roll band; 6.15pm-7.15pm Travis Graham – swing and ska; 7.45pm-8.45pm The Moll Grips – top rock band; 9.15pm-10.30pm The Houndogs – three piece rockabilly and rock n roll band.
