The talented South Lincs Competitive Swimming Club members won 34 medals and clocked 37 personal best times at the end-of-season Summer Splash open meet.
Held at Chesterfield, it was another successful and enjoyable meet for the members of the Spalding-based club.
Nine-year-old Anya Strickland, the youngest of the South Lincs swimmers, won medals in all of her four races. She grabbed gold in 200m breaststroke, before bagging three bronzes in the 50m and 200m freestyle, as well as the 50m butterfly.
In the 10-year-old age group, Dusty Saines swam an amazing 12 races and gained six personal best (PB) times.
The young gun also won six medals – including four silvers in the 50m, 100m and 200m backstroke, plus the 200m butterfly.
Saines also claimed two bronze medals in the 400m and 200m freestyle. Another 10-year-old, Ellisha Cookson, achieved four PB times and a bronze medal in her 100m breaststroke event.
For the 12-year-old girls, Samantha Millington swam well, gaining a superb seven PB times.
South Lincs’ top individual showing on the day came from 13-year-old Emily McCann, who won a whopping 12 medals.
Two of them were gold – in the 200m breaststroke and 200m freestyle – while she also earned four silvers in the 50m and 100m butterfly and the 50m and 400m freestyle.
Not done there, McCann landed six bronzes too. They came in the 50m and 100m breaststroke, 100m freestyle, 200m butterfly, 200m backstroke and 200m IM.
To top off a fine day, she was also placed third in the competition for the top girl at the meet.
Meanwhile, the youngest of the boys – 12-year-old Atticus Strickland – came away with two silver medals in the 200m IM and 100m freestyle.
Also on-song was 14-year-old Luke Blanchard, as he achieved seven PB times en-route to landing three medals.
His best effort was gold in the 200m breaststroke, with the other two being bronzes in the 200m backstroke and 200m butterfly.
Representing the older boys, 15-year-old Tim Wakefield gained five PB times and two bronze medals, which came in the 200m breaststroke and 200m backstroke.
Tom Mitchell, who is 17, won an amazing four golds in the 50m freestyle, 200m freestyle, 400m freestyle, and 200m butterfly, as well as landing silver in the 100m freestyle.
