LETTER: Good planning is needed

I read with interest (The Voice, June 25) the news of a proposed development of 900 homes on land between Fen Road and Hallgate on the outskirts of Holbeach.

I am very aware that more homes are needed in the area, but without adequate provision of schools and medical services, the strain on these facilities would take them to almost breaking point.

So I have to strongly endorse the opinions of The Rt Hon John Hayes MP, and Coun Francis Biggadike.

To lose valuable agricultural land would be detrimental to the economy of the area as well.

Good planning and management of this proposal is needed before it should go ahead.
