Lincoln Arms reach halfway stage with the lead

It is the halfway point of the Dewhursts Trophies Pinchbeck & District Summer League and Division A leaders Lincoln Arms A extended their lead with a 20-7 home win against Green Dragon A.

The only winner for Dragon was Scott Williams, who beat Dean Murray 3-0, including 18 and 14-dart legs.

Williams also hit three 180s during the evening, while Jon Young added a 107 checkout for Lincoln.

Second-placed Royal Mail Cart had a narrow 14-13 home win over Tigers Club. The match went down to the final game, when Chris Fidler secured the win with a 2-1 victory over Ash Allen. Josh Ford hit a 180 and produced a 15-dart leg in his 2-1 loss to Si Hill, who replied with an 18-dart leg. Will Cliff produced a 16-dart leg in the pairs.

Dan Gent hit a 100 checkout and Jason Vines added a 116 finish and an impressive 12-dart leg for Mail Cart.
Services Club B suffered a 20-7 home loss to Consti Club C. The only singles winner for Services was Ady Smith, who hit a 180 and an 18-dart leg in his 3-0 win over Harry Faulkner. Josh Faulkner had a 119 checkout in his 3-0 singles win and Paul Faulkner and Jacob Herd managed a 16-dart leg in their 3-0 pairs win.

Kirton Leisure recorded a welcome 16-11 home win over Pinchbeck FC B. Wins for Nathan Hill, Ash Brown (with a 104 checkout) and Finn Andrew in the final three singles secured the victory.

Division B leaders Green Dragon Z suffered a 15-12 home defeat to Lincoln Arms D. Kieran Day hit a 180 and had a 148 checkout for Dragon in his 2-1 loss to Andy Palmer, who replied with a 121 finish. Callum Day added a 113 finish in the final singles to beat Jake Merrill 2-1.

Second placed Pinchbeck FC A suffered a 16-11 home loss to Consti Club B, who are now 14 points behind the leaders with two games in hand.

Drayman’s Arms B won 20-7 at home against Consti Club Z. The only singles win for the visitors was Paul Pitts, beating Vlad Fomkinas 2-1. There were 180s for Jake Harris (Drayman’s) and Brandon Bristow (Consti).

Consti Club D had a much-needed 15-12 home win over Drayman’s Arms Q.

In Division C, Green Dragon C won 15-12 at home to Lincoln Arms C for their second win of the season. Adam Rear and Owen Morrell won the final two singles to secure the result, with Morrell hitting a 100 checkout.
Leaders Services Club A had a 16-11 win at Consti Club A. Kev Bailey hit a 100 finish for the Consti.

In a catch-up game the previous week, Pinchbeck FC C had a 15-12 win at bottom side Drayman’s Arms A.
In the Ward Trophy, Drayman’s Arms B progressed to the next round with a 7-2 win at Consti Club Z.
