Spalding overcame a late hiccup to move out of the bottom two in the Lincs Premier League Premier Division thanks to a one-wicket win at Bracebridge Heath.
After restricting the hosts to 203/9, Spalding looked set for victory when they reached 192/7.
However, they lost two wickets and needed Jamie Coles (21no) and last man Walter Kinlock (5no) to get them over the line in the 48th over.
Spalding lost the toss and were asked to field but quickly gained the upper hand with Nilantha Atapattu (1-19) and Barnaby Dring (2-49) taking early wickets as the hosts slipped to 9/2.
A patchy batting display saw Bracebridge reach 166/9 before a last-wicket stand gave them another 37 runs.
Kinlock (3-30) was the pick of the visiting bowlers.
Spalding scored quickly to reach 145/3 in reply, with captain Ollie Dring (50) and opener Divyeash Vaseeharan (39) holding things together.
However, a mid-innings slump saw them lose four wickets for the addition of only four runs before Ethan Lawrence (18) and Coles pushed things along before the late drama.
A mid-table Championship South encounter at Skegness went the way of visitors Moulton Harrox to allow them to climb above their hosts.
The home side started well with Norman Brackley (74) leading them to 116/2 before wickets started to fall regularly, with Ruari Drumm (3-55) and Matt Rose (2-50) to the fore. Travis Harrison, Curtis Todd and Jacob
Gray were also successful with the ball as the hosts closed on 220/8.
Rose’s decision to bat second after winning the toss paid off, as Drumm (51) and Josh Newton (82no) put on 76 for the third wicket.
It was then left to Newton and the captain (40no) to build a winning fifth-wicket partnership of 75 to reach a winning 221/4 in the 46th over.
Moulton Seconds remain well adrift at the foot of Division One South after going down by nine wickets at home to Woodhall Spa Seconds.
Opener Lewis Peak top scored with 24 and was the only home batsman to reach double figures as they were bowled out for 79 inside 24 overs.
The visitors lost just one wicket on their way to a winning 82/1 in the 15th over.
Spalding Seconds enjoyed a comfortable victory over Freiston, Leake & Leverton Seconds in Division Two South.
Opener Chris Dring led the way with 94, enjoying support from Phil Lewis (38) and Jack Sawyer (28no) as they accrued 230/9 from their 45 overs.
All five Spalding bowlers enjoyed success as Freiston were sent packing inside 38 overs for 160.
John Healy (2-19) was the pick, with James Frascella (2-37) and Lily Hooker (2-40) also taking two wickets and one apiece for Macey Andrews and Phil Lewis.
