Semi-final spot for Sutton

Long Sutton Mallards are through to the last four of the Mid-Norfolk Sunday League Broke Cup, quarter-finals after seeing off Great Witchingham Seconds by two wickets.

Ellis Redden took three wickets and Callum John two to restrict Withingham to 170/8 from their 40 overs before the visitors sauntered to a winning 171/8 in the 34th over.

Their reward is a home semi-final against Terrington St Clement on August 9, for a place in the final against either Hockwold or Lowestoft Town.

Moulton Harrox hung on to beat Upwood in Division Four of the Rutland Sunday League.

Eranda Munasinghege (70) and opener Jamie Parrish (30) struck the bulk of their 186/6 40-overs total.

Jack Marsh (70) and George Tuffin (61) looked to be leading the hosts to victory but once they fell, Upwood struggled to keep the push going and were all out for 182, four runs short of the Moulton score.

There were three-wicket hauls for Shanaka Sumanapala (3-10), Munasinghege (3-30) and Sethmina Adhikaramge (3-37).
