Solid additions to football fest

A charity festival featuring music and football is set to be the envy of others after announcing So Solid Crew and two well loved comedy characters as attendees.

The Forever Festival is being put on by Stars United FC in Donington to raise money for the Tom’s Trust charity which is dedicated to proving mental health support to children and young people with brain tumours.

It takes place at the Young Dons base off Town Dam Lane on Saturday, July 25.

Rap group So Solid Crew, most famous for their number one song ’21 Seconds’ are among those scheduled to play music over the 12-hour festival scheduled to run from 9am to 9pm.

And there will also be an appearance from Kevin and Perry, the teenagers-come-DJs initially created by Harry Enfield and Kathy Burke.

Others on the bill include Jay & Smokez, Becca B, Zak Holland, James Hall, Samba D, Thea Lovelace and DJ Kellam.

A spokesman for Stars United said: “On the day there will be two celebrity football matches, music throughout the day with at least ten artists performing including two well known artists, So Solid Crew and Kevin and Perry Official, as well as food and drink vendors and activities. We hope to raise as much as possible for this vital charity.”

Tickets are £15 for adults and £7.50 for children and available from www.ticketsource.com/starsunitedfc/forever-festival/e-jzxevq
