A girl who was allegedly sexually touched by a Spalding lorry driver told a jury she was telling the truth.
Shaun Denmead, 44, of Thames Road, Spalding, denies 15 sexual charges.
They include six counts of sexual assault on a child and nine charges of sexual activity with a child.
Jurors at Lincoln Crown Court were played a video recorded interview of the girl’s account to the police which was taken after the allegations were made in January 2025.
During her video the girl, who can not be named to protect her identity, described how she was sexually touched and kissed by Denmead.
Giving evidence in court from behind a screen, the girl confirmed the sexual touching by Denmead.
Defence barrister Hal Ewing suggested to the girl that Denmead had not touched her in the way she described.
Mr Ewing asked: “You say it did. Is that the situation?” The girl replied: “Yes.”
The girl was also asked if she would sometimes make things up or say things to get attention.
To both questions the girl replied: “No.”
Mr Ewing then asked the girl: “Are you lying about Shaun in this case?” She again replied: “No.”
The girl also denied repeating the allegations to get attention at school.
Prosecution barrister Richard Butters put it to the girl that the defence were suggesting she was lying in her police video.
The girl insisted: “I was telling the truth.”
