Holbeach Town Band, the Schuhplatter Dance Troupe and numerous community groups made Moulton Chapel’s Tuliptime Parade one of the best yet.

Sunday’s parade saw 17 floats take part and was led by the parade queen Amber Bell and her princesses Matilda Sexton and Sadie Groom.

Jenny Stanberry, who took over as chairman of the parade committee this year, said: “We are very pleased with the turnout, which was helped by the fact that there was no Spalding Flower Parade this year and by the lovely weather.

“The attendance was better than we hoped for and all the feedback has been really positive.

“We had more participants than in many years and Holbeach Town Band and the Boston Grammar School’s German dance troupe were particularly popular.

“We had vintage tractors and cars in the parade, along with many village community groups.

“All in all it was a brilliant day and everyone who took part seemed to really enjoy themselves.”
