With four matches left to go in the Spalding and District Snooker League, there’s still everything to play for in all three divisions.
Division One leaders Pyramid F are three points ahead of second placed Consti H, four points separate first and second, Holbeach B and Pyramid A, in Division Two, while Holbeach G are just three points clear of chasing Boundary B in Division Three.
It’s really tight at the top of Division One with only five points separating the top four teams.
Pyramid F got a 5-1 win over Services C on Thursday night, thanks to wins from Pete Hodgson-Kerry (o21), Ian Clare (scr), Oliver Player (o28) and Mark Gray (o98).
Gray, who knocked in breaks of 65, 33, 23, 22 and 22, played twice and was the only loser being beaten by Kevin Fitter (o7).
Consti H beat clubmates Consti E 4-2.
Third-placed Boundary A are just a point behind Consti. They beat Pyramid D 4-2 with wins coming from Elliott Cox (r7), Andy Mowforth (o14) and Steve Smith (r21).
James Sharpe (o49) and Josh Agger (o28) got the points for Pyramid.
Fourth-placed Pyramid C are just one point behind after beating Donington C 4-2.
George Neary-Phillips (o21), Spencer Dawkins (o63) and Jason Green (o63) were the winners in that one.
Gosberton A moved up two places to ninth, thanks to a 5-1 win over Holbeach D, who drop a place to tenth.
Wins came from Paul Wright (o7), Carl Wand (o7), Jamie Mumby (o28) and Alan Jackson (scr).
Andy Spearman (o7) got the solitary point for Holbeach.
Services D remain in 12th, despite a 5-1 win over bottom of the table Holbeach C.
Joely Shears (r7), Paul Spicer (o21), Alan Day (r21) and Ian Smith (r7) took the first four frames and the win, before
Mark Gregory (o35) won the final frame, salvaging a point for Holbeach, who are 16 points adrift at the bottom.
In Division Two, the top two teams both took a blow losing their matches.
Leaders Holbeach B went down 5-1 away to Pyramid E, while Pyramid A were done no favours by clubmates Pyramid B who beat them 4-2.
Winners for Pyramid E were Steve Thompson (r14), Adrian Sharpe (o28), John Clapton (r14) and Neil McLean (r14), while Pete Mullane (o21) got the single point for Holbeach.
The all-Pyramid match was a closer affair, going to a decider.
Roy Jackson (r14) and Gary Cooke (r7) took the first two frames for the B team, before Norman Vaughan (o21) and Dean Cole (o7) hit back for Pyramid A.
John Twell (o7) took on Carl Kelham (r7) in the decider with Kelham winning 45-28.
The lost gave third-placed Holbeach E a chance to close the gap to a single point with a 5-1 victory over Donington A.
Donington took the first frame courtesy of Nigel Brasier (o28) but it was downhill from there for them as Chris O’Leary (o21), James Crampton (o21), Carl Andrews (r7) and Ethan Lawrence (r7) took the next four frames for Holbeach.
Holbeach F moved up two places to sixth thanks to a 4-2 win at home to Gosberton D.
Dan Mayfield (o21), Stuart Atkin (o49) and Alex Bourne (o21) got the points for Holbeach. Mayfield and Atkin both knocked in 29 breaks.Holbeach A also had a 4-2 win, moving them up to seventh place.
They beat Services B thanks to wins from Wayne Dent (o49), Mark Woodberry (o56) and Steve Dent (scr).
In Division Three, Holbeach G are three points clear but Boundary B have a game in hand.
Boundary were able to gain some ground on Holbeach, who lost 4-2 to Donington B.
Holbeach started well with a win from Stu Sullivan (o28), before Phil Burrell (scr) hit back for Donington.
John Dawson (o21) edged Holbeach ahead again but Gav Lewis (o14) levelled the scoreline, leaving it to Darren Templeman (scr) to beat Ian Woodberry (scr) for the win.
Boundary B chalked up a good 5-1 win over Consti B.
Their winners were Mick Goddard (o7), Paul Spittlehouse (o63), Dougy Lythgoe (o14) and Ash Heywood (o21).
John Pike (r14) got the point for Consti.
Gosberton B remain in third, five points behind Boundary.
They beat Consti I 4-2 with wins from Nigel Goodwin (r14), Simon Slinger (scr) and Merv Pattinson (r21).
Consti C got the better of club mates Consti A with a 6-0 whitewash.
John Walker (r28), Dave Banister (scr), Terry George (r14), Steve Crane (r7) and Kevin Sweeney (r7) were the winning team.
In a bottom-of-the-table clash Donington D came out 5-1 winners over Consti J.
Gosberton C were 4-2 winners at home to Whittlesey B.
Whittlesey started well winning the first two but Stuart Henderson (scr), Stuart Tamplin (scr) and Mark Payne (o21) took the last three frames and the match.
