It’s a two-horse race at the top of Division Three in the Spalding and District Snooker League.
There’s a single point separating the top two teams, Pyramid B and Whittlesey A, but with just three weeks left until the end of the season, third-placed Gosberton D are 13 points behind.
Pyramid B beat Consti D 4-2 to hold on to first place, but Whittlesey A closed the gap to just one point, with a 6-0 win over friendly foe Whittlesey B.
Winners for Pyramid were Darren Hibbins (o7), Roy Jackson (r14) and Richard Clark (o7).
Whittlesey A have now done the double over, their B team, beating them 6-0 in both the home and away fixtures.
Their winning team was Lance Clarke (r14), Jason Clarke (o14), Andy Blythe (o7), Graeme Sawyer (o14) and Malc Bruce (o7).
Gosberton D won 5-1 away to Consti J, but lost a rearranged fixture to clubmates Gosberton B 4-2 earlier in the week.
Donington B moved back into fourth place thanks to a 5-1 win over Boundary B.
Gav Lewis (o7), Pete Burrell (o7), Paul Stewart (o7) and Mick Clark (r14) were the winning team, while Mick Walker (o28) got the single point for Boundary.
Gosberton B had a convincing 5-1 win over Donington D.
Gosberton won the first three matches thanks to Nigel Goodwin (r21), Mark Howlett (scr) and Warren Driver (r21), before Dan Sawdy (scr) got one back for Donington.
Simon Slinger (scr) took the final frame, beating Marcus Reynolds (o7) 60-47.
Consti C got the better of Gosberton C, winning 4-2 thanks to victories from John Walker (r28), Mark Craig (r14) and Kevin Sweeney (r7).
Up in Division One, Services C are five points clear, after beating Bourne SC 4-2.
Ian Gibson (scr) and Mark Gray (o98) got Bourne off to a good start, both winning their frames on the black ball, before Services took the next three and the win.
Their victors were Kev Fitter (o7), Jordan Philpott (r7) and Nigel Cherry (scr).
Consti E are in second place but lost some ground, after they went down 4-2 away to Holbeach C.
Dan Ashton (o7), Terry West (r7) and Paul Ashton (r14) got the points for Holbeach.
Consti, whose winners were Jack Chilvers (o21) and James Kingston (o28) have a game in hand over Services.
Pyramid C are in third place, four points behind Consti.
They lost 5-1 to clubmates Pyramid D.
Peter Sharpe-Grose (r14) won the first frame for the D team, before Jason Green (o56) equalled the scoreline, beating James Sharpe (o49).
But the remaining frames all went the way of the D team, with Reegan Cooke-Holmes (o21), Josh Agger (o21) and Marcus Hamilton (o28) taking the final three.
Fourth placed Donington C got a 4-2 win over Services A.
Martin Spencer (o28) took the first frame for Services, before Shaun Pickering (r7) hit back with a convincing 73-4 win over Phil Spencer (o14).
Neil Reynolds (o63) put Donington ahead, before the scoreline was equalled again, thanks to Jake Haslam (o21).
The final frame saw Craig Fitter (o63) take on Mat Turner (o28), with Turner coming out on top 87-44.
Down at the bottom of the table Holbeach B’s fight to get out of the relegation zone took a hit, as they lost 4-2 to Consti G.
Joe Garland (scr), Martin Deacon (o14) and Darren Woodberry (o35) won the first three frames respectively to seal the win.
Holbeach D have boosted themselves into sixth place, with a 6-0 whitewash of Consti H, who drop into the danger zone.
The winning team was Paul Daw (o28), Denis Hix (r7), Don Monk (o21), Wayne Fobelets (o21) and Andy Spearman (scr).
Boundary A are looking likely to finish either champions or runners-up in Division Two, as they lead the table, nine points ahead of second-placed Gosberton A.
They beat Consti F 5-1 to continue their charge to be crowned champions.
Winners were Daniel Smith (o21), Elliott Cox (r7), Andy Mowforth (scr), Tim Burrows (r7) and John Tidswell (o21).
Smith hit a 37 break in his victory over Darren Stanley (r28).
Gosberton A got a 4-2 win over fourth-placed Holbeach E, thanks to victories from Carl Wand (o7), Geoff Wand (r14) and Jamie Mumby (o21).
Third placed Services D didn’t have a match on Thursday.
Consti I are looking certain to be relegated as they are 14 points adrift at the bottom of the table.
They were the victims of a 6-0 whitewash at the hands of Donington A.
Donington’s winners were Mick Pearl (o21), Nigel Brasier (o28), Kevin Hawes (o7), Tony Scully (o42) and Jim Thompson (scr).
Holbeach F are trying to claw their way out of the bottom three and a 4-2 win over Consti B helped with that.
Getting the points for Holbeach were Susan Lefley (r21), Dan Mayfield (o28) and James Quinton (o7).
Whittlesey C got the better of Pyramid E, beating them 4-2.
