Cadets land host of awards

Holbeach Air Cadets have been praised for the heights they’ve reached over the last year at the annual presentation evening.

On Wednesday, February 5, the 2430 (Holbeach) squadron of the RAF Air Cadets held a presentation evening for cadet achievements throughout 2024.
Awards were presented to the 28 cadets in front of parents and guests at the Anglia Motel venue and ranged from first aid, radio operating, sports and best achievement.
Flt/Lt Keith Bate OC of the squadron praised the efforts of the cadets.
“It’s been a very good year for the squadron who have participated in helping many local charity events.
“With 35 enrolled cadets we are hoping that a more suitable building in place of the Church Street site can be sourced in the future to allow more activities and better facilities for the young people.
“Anyone interested in joining the cadets and is aged between 12 and 18 can attend a meet on Wednesday and Friday evening in Church Street Holbeach. More details on the website www.https://raf.mod.uk/aircadets/
Anyone who can help with sourcing funding or help supporting a new suitable site please contact Flt/Lt Bate.
