After her busy Christmas a Spalding woman has turned to Red January.
The initiative aims to get people moving every day throughout the month to promote healthy living and better mental health.
Vanessa Browning, who runs Community Mind Matters, is walking everyday from Ayscoughfee Hall and is inviting people to join her.
“I’ve been doing it for the past four years,” Vanessa said. “It’s all about wellbeing and mental health by getting those exercises in.
“I’m doing a walk every single day and so it’s accessible to all we’re doing it around Ayscoughfee.
“It’s amazing. I have one lady in particular who I only see at January, but she joins me almost everyday to get out exercising.
“Everyone should find the time to do a little exercise everyday.”

It comes on the back of another busy Christmas for Vanessa who spent her Christmas day cooking dinner for those who might otherwise be on her own.
She also held a get together on Boxing Day and one on New Year’s Day too.
“It was really lovely,” continued Vanessa. “We even had Santa turn up courtesy of Coun James Le Sage.
“We were live on TikTok and had over 1,000 people watching us.
“We also had 13-year-old Ollie Ford who handed out the presents that he’d bought himself with his pocket money.
“The whole day was amazing with a brilliant atmosphere.
“A huge thank you goes to everyone who helped put it on.
“That includes all the volunteers, those that raised funds including Ink Warriors, and everyone who donated foods such as Sainsbury’s Greencore and Classic News.”
