A Cub Scout leader has been recognised for his services to the community.
Andrew Ablett, of 1st Spalding Cub Scouts, was given the Lions Young Leaders in Service Award.
It recognises young people between the ages of eight and 18 for their community service.
Hours of service are logged on a 12-month period and can be undertaken in many areas of life.
“Lions clubs encourage all young people to be involved in helping others and serving their community,” said a spokesman for the Spalding Lions branch, which presented the award. “We are very pleased to be able to make this award for over 100 hours of service to the community to Andrew who has given his time to take part in the Scout movement as a young leader with 1st Spalding.”
Andrew was presented with the award by Lion Eileen Robson alongside colleagues John Steel, Elaine Mothers and Frances Paget.
