GALLERY – Harvesting fun for the weekend

It’s not every village that hosts an onion eating contest alongside celebrating rural life – but Moulton has the lot.

Winner James Bowd beat-off stiff opposition from five others to be the fastest on the day and he was crowned as the Onion Eater Extraordinaire.
Moulton Harvest Weekend was held over two days and split over two sites at the weekend.
A corresponding tractor working weekend was held on Austendyke Road while the village community centre hosted a variety of attractions.
Visitors were offered a free shuttle bus between the sites and there were also tractor and trailer rides.
The free event also had displays of vehicles from all eras and stationery engines as well as refreshments and live music.
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang was on hand to offer a photo opportunity for visitors.
Games, craft stalls and a harvest raffle were also part of the fun.
Spalding Community Choir helped provide the music for the weekend.
