Bloom judges in Long Sutton

The East Midlands in Bloom judges visited Long Sutton last week.

Griselda Kerr and Mary Bagley were welcomed by the initiative’s chairman Kay Jenkinson and taken on a tour of the town by Bloomers Barry Meade and Christine Palacio-White.
During the afternoon they met Neil and Lynn Fitch and admired their pretty front garden, James Bailey who selflessly helps keep Long Sutton litter free, Dave Webb from Long Sutton Men’s Shed, Stuart Millett, manager Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust Shrubberies Nature Reserve and also Mandy Walton from Rainbow Nursery.
There they were shown projects done by the very young gardeners.
Kay said: “We think the judges were impressed and we thank everyone – Bloomers and non-Bloomers who helped make our town look so lovely.”
The results will be announced early in September.
