Moulton make it a cup quadruple

Moulton Harrox are celebrating a trophy quadruple on the back of the men’s first team being crowned Peterborough League champions last week.

Their reserve team made it a league double with a 6-0 win over Elsea Park Eagles to wrap up the Division Four title on their return to the competition.
It got even better at the weekend when the club’s u16s girls team added the Quickline Lincolnshire Girls’ County League Cup to the South Division title they had already won with 14 out of 14 wins during the season.
The cup win was especially welcome for the team, managed by former Spalding United and Holbeach player Martyn Cundy. They beat Ropley Colts 1-0 a year after being beaten in the semi-final by the same team to deny hopes of a double after they had won all 16 of their league matches as u15s.
Constance Onyinah was the team’s top scorer with 39 goals, with Kara Butler adding another 23.
The good news swept the club’s one disappointment of the week quickly under the carpet. Moulton were presented with the GCE Hire Fleet Peterborough League silverware handed over on the same day they lost their 13-match unbeaten record with a 3-0 defeat to Oundle Town in  their final match of the campaign.
It was also a grim day for Tydd. Needing a win to stay out of the bottom two in the Premier Division table, they crashed 11-1 at Stamford Belvedere.
Holbeach United Sports completed their Division One season with a 1-1 draw at home to Chatteris Town.
Crowland Town Reserves stepped up to the mark to preserve their Division Two status with two big wins against relegation rivals.
Billy Gibbs, Callum Pratt, Xennon Paul, Nathan Woodward, Harvey Henderson and Jordan Kirchin shared the goals in a 6-0 win against Kings Cliffe last Wednesday and on Saturday Klyden Lleshi netted a first-half hat-trick in a 4-1 win against Stamford Lions. Kirchin got the other goal to pulled them well clear of the drop zone.
South Lincolnshire Swifts completed their debut season with a 2-2 draw at Sawtry Reserves to finish fifth in the Division Four table. Jack Watson struck both goals.
South Holland United enjoyed a goal-laden week in the Sunday League. Warren Hebblethwaite claimed a treble in Thursday’s 4-3 win at Stanground Eagles, where an own goal proved to be the difference between the teams. Hebblethwaite went one better in Sunday’s 6-1 victory at PSV Rangers with four goals.
