Chris Davison joined us in the Tulip Radio studios on the one-year anniversary of his appointment as District Chief Inspector for North and South Kesteven.
It’s always a pleasure to see Chris who has been very active within the police force since he was promoted from Spalding’s community inspector two years ago.
Chris first joined the police as a cadet in his teens and then Lincolnshire Police in August 1997 as a constable in South Holland.
He still feels a strong connection to the district where his career began, but his latest beat takes him back to his hometown of Grantham, where he went to Kings School and was a volunteer police cadet.
He has continued his education to aid his professional development and this year graduates with an MSc in Police Leadership and Management from Warwick Business School.
With over 15 years experience, ranging from neighbourhood policing to crime investigation, Chief Insp Davison has also been involved in the management of the multi-million pound contract between Lincolnshire Police and strategic partners G4S, performing a contract management and liaison role.
He spoke to us about funding for Lincolnshire Police, crime rates and home and property security.
Chris also told us about work with mental health issues as, during his time with the Lincolnshire force, Chris has been a keen contributor to mental health awareness and support.
He helped design and deliver the Mental Health Triage Car for Lincolnshire, and continues to assist with governance.
