Four years jail for dealing drugs

A South Holland man has been jailed for his involvement in the production of Class C drugs over three years.

Paul Tallo (47) (pictured), of Cranesgate North, Whaplode St Catherine, appeared at Lincoln Crown Court on Friday when he was sentenced to four years and six months for 11 counts of producing a Class C controlled drug.
Officers acted on intelligence and carried out a warrant on Wednesday, November 29 at the address in Whaplode St Catherine.
Specialist officers carried out a search and found a large-scale pill making factory inside the property.
Three pill press machines were found as well as an assortment of pills totalling 60,000.
Powders, including Diazepam and anabolic steroids, were also found in large containers inside a hidden room in the house.
Both anabolic steroids and Diazepam are classed as a Class C substance, which means they are illegal to possess, sell or deal, unless prescribed by a doctor for medical reasons.
Following forensic analysis, the pills were found to be steroids, Benzodiazepines and Buprenorphine, and are believed to have an estimated street value of around £92,000.
Further inquiries also led officers to a storage container with the same substances in Sutton St James.
Tallo was arrested and charged with supplying anabolic steroids, supplying Class C drugs, producing Class C drugs, and producing anabolic steroids on November 30, 2023.
The officer who led the investigation, DC Patricia Burney-Davis from the Boston Criminal Investigation Department (CID), said: “I am happy with the result of this investigation. It shows that even though we are a relatively small police force, that we will still endeavour to prosecute those who try to commit criminal offences within Lincolnshire.
“My goal is to make the people with Boston and Spalding feel safer, and this is a part of the process to making Lincolnshire safer.”
