Time to recognise special achievements

Those at Springfields want to hear your nominees for the Pride of South Holland Special Achievement Award.

Ian Billinghurst picked up last year’s accolade for his hard work around Spalding Academy.
The Special Achievement Award is for a very special person or community organisation judged to have made outstanding contributions over several years to our local community.
We want to hear who you think should get the award at a special ceremony at the South Holland Centre on Sunday, June 23.
Springfields currently sponsors the award having been involved since its formation.
Simon Stone from Springfields said: “It is a privilege to be a part of these awards every year and to be able to say ‘thank you’ to people for what they do for our community.
“The management felt that through the years nominations contained many heart warming stories, reminding us all that we must help and support each other.”
Organiser Jan Whitbourn thanked Springfields for their ongoing support, saying: “Springfields have been such a huge supporter of our town and community for so many years.
“When these awards began, Springfields were one of the first local companies to get behind this project and really wanted to be seen to thank local people for their contributions.
“Simon and the whole team at Springfields do so much and once again, I would just like to say thank you.
“Ian was a really worthy winner last time out.
“Ian was nominated by numerous people for his dedicated and unwavering work at Spalding Academy and his support to students and staff.
“He is also somebody who is recognised by many people in our community for going out of his way to help and support other.
“If you would like to nominate somebody for a Pride of South Holland Award, please send as much information on the person you are nominating and why, preferably at least a side of A4, because that the more information you provide the more information the judges have when making their decisions.”
