LETTER: Illegal tobacco is not new

The issue of shops in Spalding dealing in illegal tobacco products is not new.
This was highlighted by the BBC Radio 4 programme “The Patch”.
A researcher is given a random generated postcode and asked to investigate local issues with no prior briefing.
In this case it was Spalding in 2018 and the findings are interesting and relevant to closure of shops.
The programme is still available on BBC Sounds (https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m0001cv9) and is worth a listen if you wish to understand the issues that are both current and prevalent in 2018.
